Who We Are

One of the most important things you can do before booking any wedding videographer is to know a bit about the people running the company, which is why we’ve put together this little blog post all about us!

Gary is Scottish at heart and Canadian by birth, once a national network television producer in Toronto, now comfortable at home in the west end of Glasgow where he works side by side with his partner Amanda for Olive & Thistle. He has spent over 12 years as an award-winning producer and video editor. While here in Scotland he’s also had the privilege of filming/editing hundreds of corporate projects and weddings, with a keen eye for that perfect shot and that perfect cut.

Amanda has had over a decade of experience in the media and marketing industries in Canada before moving to Scotland with her partner Gary and their 4 year old son. She runs the business side of things here at Olive & Thistle - from our online presence to social media and marketing. She’s detail-oriented, and has a bold vision for what Olive & Thistle needs to be in order to stand out from the crowd. As a published photographer she has an impeccable eye for visuals and is excited to bring that to everything from our large corporate projects to our intimate wedding films.
