We are a family-run, award-winning wedding videographer team based just outside Glasgow, creating natural, documentary-style wedding films for couples across Glasgow and the west of Scotland.

Who are Our Couples?
We film couples across Glasgow and the west of Scotland who love a full-on party, ones who just want a chill, relaxed day, and all those in-between.
We film couples who are shy, couples who worry they'll be uncomfortable in front of a camera, and even couples who aren't entirely sure about having a videographer to begin with.
The one consistency with all of them? They just want to be able to relax and enjoy themselves, while we work in the background capturing everything.
We capture a day they can share with loved ones who couldn't be there. A day their children might one day watch back on a loop. A day that goes by ridiculously quickly — and we love the privilege of documenting it for you.

Getting Married in Glasgow?
Glasgow is a brilliant place to get married — partly because no two Glasgow weddings seem to look remotely alike.
We've filmed weddings throughout the city and surrounding area, from elegant city-centre celebrations and iconic Glasgow venues to castles and country-house weddings just outside the city.
Over the years we've filmed at venues including Òran Mór, House for an Art Lover, Kimpton Blythswood Square, Crossbasket Castle and Mar Hall, along with countless others across Glasgow and the west of Scotland.
And after years of filming weddings here, we're very used to everything a Glasgow wedding can throw at us — busy city streets, rapidly changing light, unexpected locations and, obviously, weather that may decide to experience all four seasons before the speeches.
Our documentary approach means we don't arrive with a list of moments we need to manufacture. We get to know your plans, your venue and what's important to you, then work around your day as it actually happens.
So whether you're getting married right in the city or somewhere on Glasgow's doorstep, you can concentrate on having the wedding. We'll concentrate on remembering it.
Who are we?
Olive & Thistle was founded by two Canadians happily based in the west of Scotland for 10 years now, filming weddings all over Scotland, the UK, Europe and the World. Before that we worked in the Television and Radio industries for over a decade, and enjoyed working with each other so much we decided to get married ourselves! With our 11 year-old son and a scrappy cavapoo named Waffles we are proudly a family-run business. (Though the dog does little-to-no admin).

How much does a Glasgow wedding videographer cost?
Our all-inclusive full coverage wedding package is £2,250, with two videographers covering your day from preparations until the third dance. Elopement, twilight and single-videographer packages are available from £1,500.
Do you travel throughout Glasgow and the surrounding area?
Absolutely. We're based just outside Glasgow and regularly film weddings throughout the city and the west of Scotland. We also travel throughout Scotland, the UK and further afield.
We're awkward on camera. Is that a problem?
Not remotely. Lots of our couples tell us exactly the same thing. Our documentary approach means you won't spend your wedding day performing for us — we'd much rather capture what's actually happening.
Have you filmed at our Glasgow wedding venue before?
Quite possibly! We've filmed at venues throughout Glasgow and the surrounding area. Tell us where you're getting married when you enquire and, if we've been there before, we'll happily show you relevant work. If we haven't, that's no problem either — we love filming somewhere new.
Do you work alongside our photographer?
Yes. We regularly work alongside photographers and approach the day as a team. We're all there for the same reason: to give you brilliant memories without turning your wedding into a photoshoot or film set.
Can you use a drone at Glasgow wedding venues?
Drone filming is included in our full wedding package where it can be flown safely and legally. Weather, airspace and individual venue restrictions can sometimes mean flying isn't possible on the day.
How long are you there on our wedding day?
Our full coverage package includes two videographers from preparations through to the third dance, so we're there for considerably more than just the ceremony.
What films do we receive?
Our full package includes a 3–5 minute highlights film, a full 45–90 minute wedding film containing your ceremony and speeches, a 30-second teaser and a 60-second vertical social film.
