We are a family-run, award-winning wedding videographer team based in Scotland, creating documentary-style wedding films for couples across Scotland, the UK and Europe for the past 8 years.
From the Highlands and Loch Lomond to Edinburgh, Ayrshire, Glasgow and beyond, our films don't follow trends, they follow you. Your loved ones, your décor, the hilarious speeches, the faces of joy — everything you might miss on the day and want to remember forever.

Who are Our Couples?
We film couples that love a full-on party, ones that just want a chill, relaxed day, and all those in-between.
We film couples that are shy, couples that worry they'll be uncomfortable in front of a camera, and even couples that are unsure about having a videographer to begin with.
The one consistency with all of them? They just want to be able to relax and enjoy themselves, while we work in the background capturing everything.
Capturing a day that they can share with loved ones abroad. A day their children can watch back on a loop. It’s a day that goes by in an instant, and we love the privilege of documenting that for you.

Who are we?
Olive & Thistle was founded by two Canadians happily based in the west of Scotland for 10 years now, filming weddings all over Scotland, the UK, Europe and the World. Before that we worked in the Television and Radio industries for over a decade, and enjoyed working with each other so much we decided to get married ourselves! With our 11 year-old son and a scrappy cavapoo named Waffles we are proudly a family-run business. (Though the dog does little-to-no admin).
