Our core team handles all aspects of the creative side of the process to ensure the highest levels of quality for the films we create. From the most intimate beach wedding to a full-service corporate production*, Olive & Thistle is big enough to accommodate your needs while still being small enough to actually care about them.

Who are Olive & Thistle?
Olive & Thistle was started by two Canadians now happily based in Glasgow, Scotland, Gary & Amanda worked in the television and radio industries for over 20 years collectively, and enjoyed working with each other so much, they decided to get married themselves! They're continuing their adventure together by heading up Olive & Thistle. Combined, they have worked on and completed over 1500 projects, for clients as big as Coca-Cola to ones as small as their local nursery. Together with Olive & Thistle's team of brilliant videographers, they are excited for the opportunity to continue creating, producing, writing and filming for all digital mediums.

Our Wedding Films
At Olive & Thistle, we capture the moments you miss. We adopt a natural, laid back approach to filming your big day. We don't stage shots, we simply document everything as it happens - guest reactions, hilarious speeches, table details, faces of joy - everything you may miss and want to remember about your wedding day then gets created into the films you see below. Every wedding is different, and we strive to create films that are special to you while also adhering to our high standard of filming, post production and customer service.
Our all-inclusive wedding package (for bookings through the end of 2026) costs £2250 and includes two videographers for the duration of your day, from bride and groom preparations up to the third dance of the evening. Also included is fully-insured Drone Work by our PfCO licensed drone operator. Final films will include a 3-5 minute Highlights Film and a 45-90 Minute Full Film. This full film includes your entire ceremony and all of your speeches within it. We'll also send you a 30 second teaser clip two weeks after your wedding so you have a little taste of what's to come. NEW FOR 2024 - We're now offering a brand-new film for no additional cost - a 60 Second Social Teaser - a film edited vertically for you to share on social media that accommodates that aspect ratio, which features various highlights of your entire day in quicker clips. It’s basically just a quick wee highlights reel you can use as you please. All films are then delivered on a beautiful engraved wooden USB upon your approval.
